It’s been awhile since I’ve posted up here…I’m making a plan to get more buildings and sites etc blogged about over this year.

To keep me going and to keep readers inspired I’m going to re-post tweets by Historydotnet, as they tweet a daily this day in history.

So here is today’s: Today in History 4 Jan 1958, Ed Hillary leads NZ party to Sth Pole http://bit.ly/7S2Xw3 – 1st since Scott in 1912 #onthisday

Also if you have a favourite place or exhibition let me know and I’ll do some research and blog about it for you.

So, I’ve thought about where I want to start with this blog. Over the next couple of weeks, I’m going to brush up on some reading about Sustainable Heritage. This is something that I believe should be applied to our heritage sites, but before I go into details about it, I’m going to make sure I’ve got a good head around the arguments for it….so expect some more from me in my next up date about sustainable heritage and how we as everyday people can help achieve these goals, etc.

Thought I’d also mention, that if you think of a heritage site, building, monument that you think I should check out, let me know and I’ll take a looksey and do some research into it….all help to get this rolling will be appreciated.
